Masters of Linocut and Woodcut Exhibition in homage to Peeter Allik

Peeter Allik was an Estonian artist and Surrealist. He graduated from University of Tartu. In 1997, he became the first laureate of Ado Vabbe Prize. In 2002, he also won the Grand Prix on VIII International Biennale of the Baltic states in Kaliningrad. 

He was known as a prolific graphic artist and painter whose work has been associated with both the neo-pop wave and second coming of surrealism during this decade. Allik's work is characterized as socially critical grotesque. Using the words of Hannes Varblane, the world depicted in Allik's artworks simply "crashes in" and is impossible to ignore. (by NOBA)

Academia Non Grata & Bandolero Press invited International Printmakers to participate in the exhibition: "Masters of Linocut and Woodcut" in homage to Estonian Master Printmaker Peeter Allik (1966 - 2019) The exhibition will be hosted by Academic Gustaviana Society’s “Peeter Allik” Tartu Printmaking Festival, June 6– 12, 2022.
